CO2 Extinguisher Valves

A CO2 valve is used on carbon dioxide (CO2) fire extinguishers. CO2 extinguishers are preferred in areas with electrical panels, server and IT rooms, laboratories and electronic equipment. Carbon dioxide leaves no residue after use and does not conduct electricity. We supply valves for CO2 extinguishers on a wholesale basis.

What makes a CO2 valve different?

In CO2 extinguishers, carbon dioxide is stored as a liquid under high pressure. For this reason, CO2 extinguishers operate at much higher pressure than dry powder extinguishers. A valve made for this pressure must be used on CO2 extinguishers; a dry powder extinguisher valve is not used on a CO2 cylinder.

Servicing and replacement

CO2 extinguishers are also inspected periodically. Valves that leak or are damaged are replaced during refilling and servicing.
